Hi, I just bought an Acer Predator XB271H A that supports 144hz, and also a Acer Predator Helios 300 (PREDATOR PH317-51) and when I try to change the refresh rate I can only change to 50hz, my drivers are updated, what can I do to achieve 144hz on my new screen.

Thanks a lot.

Is there any adapter from HDMI to DP that will work 120hz or 144hz?

Juaann as @egydiocoelho posted above that display only supports 144hz via native DP port it wont support via hdmi not all displays support 144hz through hdmi there is a list of compatible displays here in the community and also up to date in the fb predator group unfortunately your laptop doesnt have a native DP port only hdmi everyone should investigate very well previously when they are buying a external display that the laptop meets the requirements for it or buy one that does so you hve 2 option either keep the display as it is or return it and get one that supports up to 240hz over hdmi good luck

And wont do you any good to convert DP to hdmi because its the monitor itself that does not support it over hdmi and probably the best you could get with a good adapter would be 120hz@1080p max with luck and even that its not guarantee but if your in to try it go ahead and let us know how it went
