Hi everyone!
I want to put a SSD in my nitro 5, but I have the questions: it is possible? in that case, which is the SSD capacity of my model?
I have found post about this but I did not find for my specific model (721L) [and i want to be very sure to buy the correct SSD]. Also I found the official specification of my computer (https://www.acer.com/datasheets/2019/4876/AN515-52/NH.Q3MAL.019.html) but it did not say anything about the SSD.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Your Nitro 5 515-52 721L (forget about the 721L digits) as your model is the Nitro 5 515-52 and it takes the type “3D NAND M.2 Type 2280” SSD of 1TB. You can also put a 3D NAND SATA 2.5 inch to rplace the 2.5-inch 1TB spinner HDD. The M.2 is a B&M key type (see caption below). Also the max ram the AN515-52 takes is 32GB and the type it can take is either DDR4-2400 SODIMM, DDR4-2666 or DDR4-3200 SODIMM.

Thnak you very much for the answer Steven
you said I have to loof for the "3D NAND  M.2 type 2280", however i have found this two "models": "3D NAND NVMe PCIe M.2" and "3D NAND SATA M.2" which one do you suggest me to get?
    thanks

You need the "3D NAND SATA M.2" wich is the "B&M Key" edge connector type M.2 SSD, that is the only type of SSD that will fit the M.2 slot in your "Nitro 5 515-52 721L" the NVMe is an "M Key" type and won't fit into your M.2 slot, simple.

This is a short explanation of what M.2 drives are and the uses of SATA-3 and NVMe:

An M.2 drive is simply a term to describe the physical form factor of a drive. M.2 drives are the slim card type, M.2 drives are not another protocol like NVMe and SATA. In fact, you can get an M.2 drive that uses either SATA or NVMe.

NVMe’s really are only useful and better for those larger file transfers, so unless you regularly move large files for photo and video editing then NVMe has no advantage(s), Also, for gaming, both NVMe and SATA 3 will offer very similar boot speeds. They are both so fast that other hardware, such as RAM and CPU performance, ends up being the bottleneck.
