That was my first thought as well. But seeing as the CPU supports DDR3 standards, I thought it would be just fine, as I've already done this before and it surprisingly worked (it was an old Dell with DDR3/3L compatibility). The motherboard was what I didn't consider, as both DDR3 and DDR3L do use the exact same SODIMM slots. This really confuses people who aren't really familiar, even some who do apparently (silly me!).brummyfan2 said:Hi,

Exactly my thoughts, sir @egydiocoelho. The voltages were the only thing that differentiates them, apart from the tiny part numbers and variant descriptions on the module itself.
