I bought a XFA240 monitor for my wife 2 years ago (I think) so she could have a second monitor for video editing. She was connecting it to an iMac Pro via HDMI and a HDMI-TB3(USB-C) adapter. From the beginning, it never really worked correctly. The monitor would detect the signal from the Mac, but it would flicker maybe once every ten seconds, which was annoying, so my wife just turned it off and it sat unused on her desk. Fast forward to now, and she just got a new monitor, and I'm trying to connect the XFA240 to my iMac Pro, and it just doesn't work. It will turn on, detect the signal from the Mac, and then after about 5 seconds the screen will flicker and then just turn blue. Making a change to the display preferences in OSX will make it come back to life, but then after a few seconds, another flash and then blue. I've switched out the cables and the adapter, so I know those aren't the issue, and I tried it with my MBP just now and had the same problem, so the monitor is what's wrong with the situation. No combination of changes to resolution or refresh rate work either. Is there anything I can do about this?
