So, can you boot into a Windows install flash drive?

Ill try to, but i dont think that it will allow me into the menu to switch boot devices

I have tried to boot it from a USB drive and it doesn't work. when i spam the f12 key, it still brings the "Secure Boot Failed" screen up.

What happens when you reset the battery?

You would be correct. none of those other tabs show up. its only "Exit" with the 3 options for it. the reset button did absolutely nothing for me. i followed the steps listed on another thread where a person had a similar issue, and i was still left with the same blinking "InsydeH20" Menu with the exit tab.

When you disconnect the ssd or hdd, do the bios functions appear again? I think linux changed something in the bios.

There is no removable drive. this is the model with the 64gb on board storage. there is an m.2 slot beside it however.

i am not able to boot to an install drive. secure boot is enabled, and since i cannot access the full BIOS i cant disable secure boot to boot to another drive. i cant access the boot menu on (f12?) to switch the drive either. it just continues to boot to the internal storage, and fails to do so.

I'm guessing you have a sticky key. The boot menu is by default turned off and that may explain why you can't get into it, but a stuck key can easily give you the BIOS symptoms you are seeing.

It doesnt automatically take me into the bios. if i dont hit f2 itll take me to a screen that says "Secure Boot Fail" but thats all i can do besides hitting f2 to go into the bios.

I would be lying if i said i knew the answer to that. is there any way i could find that information out without being able to access the bios directly? i've personally had it since the beginning of this year, and i bought it second hand. i also do not know if there has been a bios update done to it before i had it.

Where did you get this process? Directly from Acer support or from an internet search?

Sorry that it took a while, with it being Fathers Day, i had my mind prioritized, i got it from bios-pw.org

I'm thinking the BIOS password crack didn't actually work and that's what's causing the issues with the BIOS. The Secure Boot Fail means the UEFI image is corrupt or the BIOS itself is corrupt. The two pieces work together to verify the UEFI image matches what should be there before it allows an OS to start launching.

When i initially got the screen to enter to the code, i tried the key which was on the pop-up itself, and it didn't work. i eventually did some digging to find out that it needed to have a different code, and when i found that site and put my key in i got a code, which allowed me into the state i am now. you would think that it wouldn't have anything to do with that key being cracked since it allowed me in. with that being said, would there be any solutions for my problem that could be possible?
