Acer Predator Helios 300 PH317-53-70T will not boot when mini display port cable fitted.

"Acer Predator Helios 300 PH317-53-70t" August 2019 purchased.

This laptop will not boot up when a display port lead/monitor is connected.

Unplug the lead, laptop will reboot 2 or 3 times then boot normally. Putting lead back in causes no issues until next time turned off when no boot happens again.
Tried monitors provided lead, and 2 small extension leads ( to avoid wear on laptop port ).
Done battery reset - hold power button for over 30 seconds. Also on latest bios 1.11 and laptop keeps itself up to date with drivers ( and checked on Acer site for 2020 ones ). Seems still on june 2019 VGA nvidea drivers according to Acer support downloads - nothing newer available.

Any help - settings etc. before I RMA it to acer under warranty?

NeilhB i am really not sure but im aware some laptops are designed to not boot up when a external display is connected can only be connected after it boots up dunno if its the case here or not have u tried via hdmi instead unfortunately you would have to contact acer support directly to find out more about it
