Hello everyone

I have a Acer nitro 5 AN-515-54

My laptop specs is

CPU: Intel i5 9300H

GPU: Nvdia GTX 1650

RAM: 8 GB (8*1)

Memory: 1 TB harddisk + 256 GB SSD

I would like the upgrade my RAM.

8 GB is not optimum value and also wanting using dual channel RAM performance.

But how can i choose new 8 gb ram. Which features should i consider?

I added my ram specs from CPU-Z application.

I would like buy same ram but this not available in my county. Also this ram model special model for Acer laptops .

***My second question is This ram does it work perfectly as a dual channel?

First, see CPUz in the "Memory" section and under "Channel#" ifyou have dual, if you only have 1xstick of 8GB (whcih is the OEM for your laptop) you will not have "Dual" channel. For "Dual" channel you have to have 2x the same sticks of the exsact and same spec and brand ram.

The Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54 can take a max mem of 64GB and has 2x slots (2 banks of 1) and comes with standard mem of 8GB removable. So, and what i would suggest is for you to buy a new "KIT of 2x Ram" of either 16Gb kit of (2x 8GB) DDR4-3200 or DDR4-2666 ram or 32GB Kit (2 x 16GB) DDR4-3200 or DDR4-2666 ram, as all these will work for you, simple.

The one in your link is a PC memory not a laptop(SODIMM) memory. Buy one 2666mhz CL19 if you want to have a dual channel, the brand is not important here. This one will do the job https://www.amazon.com/Kingston-8GB-DDR4-2666MHZ-SODIMM/dp/B07D3NG9MG

@StevenGen The service manual states that the model an515-54 only 32gb of ram. Where did you find that the an515-54 supports up to 64gb of ram?

Its in the Crucial Nitro 5 AN515-54 (Intel) Compatible upgrades page here: https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/acer/nitro-5-an515-54-(intel) yese gydiocoelho that might be wrong "sorry" as 64GB sounds a bit too opetemistic, its propably 32GB as Acer does not have a 64GB laptop
