I have created a photo show though a program called SmartSHOW 3D.

And will buy the  Deluxe versione which will allow me  to burn my  projects to DVD.  They say I can also save the DVD folders for burning them later with third-party burners, like Windows burner or Nero. However

I  need to be sure that my  notebook can burn DVDs and find out what disc types (DVD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+R, etc.) are supported.

Htey have suggested me to contact Acer official support;

My notebook is ACER ASPIRE 5740

Can You help me ?

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP

    Yes, your system likely has burner capability for all types. But to double check, press WIN+R. Enter 'msinfo32'. In the box that pops up, click the components folder in the left pane. Click on CD/DVD subfolder. What is the brand/model description of the drive in the right pane? Alternately, you can open DeviceManager, Click on the DiskDrives or CD/DVD drives folders, What is the description there?

    You also have the option of burning the SmartShow DVD folder files onto a USB pendrive instead of a DVD drive using a simple freeware program called Rufus. A USB pendrive is much more portable, much higher capacity, and more widely usable on laptops than a DVD drive. For this reason DVD burner drives are being phased out with most new laptops since a single inexpensive USB pendrive can perform the same tasks as 20 or more DVD disks.
