hey guys so i got the acer nitro 5 a few months back. really only started using it more a month ago since my school semester finished. I have barely played games on it, only played blade and soul twice. I noticed that the CPU on this pc runs quite hot. idle at around 40-65 degrees celcius and it spikes to 70 plus randomly. also it goes above 80 during gaming. according to acer, this computer is meant to withstand up to 100 degrees celcius. I don't want mine running so hot all the time and decided I will undervolt.

my laptop has the i5-9300h and gtx 1650 w 512gb SSD
Can someone give me some advice on what to use: Throttlestop or Intel XTU? and possibly tell me what settings you guys use? i've never done something like this and it seems complicated but i want to get it done

Try to use a laptop cooler as and if you want to play intense games it will always reach max temps. In my experience both Throttlestop and Intel XTU are pretty much the same, no difference, I would use the Intel since they have the experience of their cpu's and its specifically made for Intel products! The settings depend on you and your usage, there are allot of settings on the net but, I would go with a minimal setting first and increase them as you go, as not all situations and undervolt settings suits all.
