Can I use a 19.5V 9.23A charger for a 19V 7.1A laptop?

Hi,

My Battery is draining out from %100 to lower percentages while it is on heavy load [gaming, rendering, stress testing (OCCT, AIDA64, ...) etc.] even it is on AC charging with the original ACER charger. I want to change the original ACER charger with a more powerful charger (higher watts) to prevent this but I could not find any 19V charger which has more amperage with 5.5x1.7mm plug size. I have found a charger 19.5V 9.23A with 5.5x1.7mm plug size.

My questions are as below;

1 - Can I use a 19.5V 9.23A charger for my 19V 7.1A laptop?
2 - Will 0.5V higher current harm the laptop?
3 - Can my 7.1A laptop get more amps than 7.1A from the 9.23A charger without discharging the battery while it is on heavy load? (As I Understood my laptop uses all the charger watts but consumes more than that so it is also using power from battery at the same time as AC Charger + Battery.)

My Laptop is Acer Nitro 5 AN515-51-7383 - NH.Q2QEY.003 - Model N17C1.

Thanks,

Sertaç

    No. The voltage must be the same. The higher amps would probably be ok, but could degrade your battery a bit.
