Acer Helios 300 screen isn't working

The screen acted up yesterday once, the left side of the bezel has been off for months so did fiddle around with the wires, and it did work. I just don't want to give the impression it's the wires, cus I don't even think that fixed it cus now again today the screen isn't working. The wires honestly look fine and despite the hinge being off, the wires were never touched.

Today the laptop is acting strange and it's it's upsetting me cus I have fuckall else but this laptop to keep me company. I did a battery reset, tried to reset the bios blind and checked the ram. I would send it for repair but I'm broke atm. I do know that the computer bios works as the laptop responds bios keys. I also noticed that playing with the numlock and enter key will shut the system down. I have bitlocker too. I'm not entirely sure if I can get past bitlocker as using the enter key will shut the system down. This isn't normal at all as ive not had this before. Can you help me out please?

What did you mean by "the left side of the bezel has been off for months"? About the display problem, have you tried to disconnect the lithium battery, disconnect the edp cable, connect the edp cable and then connect the lition battery?

The plastic bezel has lifted off and is sorta very loose, so if I move the laptop I must hold it firmly. The hinge is fine but it's no use now. It's not my main concern now.

Just yesterday I was on my phone, tapped on the keys to get off stand by and it was black. I shut it down, started up yet was still black. It eventually got working again. Until later today, I left and came back. Now it's black once again and still. Is the edp cable the one under the right hinge that has black tape over it, and the lithium battery, the big brick? I have before disconnected the brick and held reset, but no luck. I'm beginning to think the graphics card is fried, because HDMI doesn't work either, unless the cable is broke. Really I have no intention of getting a new motherboard.

Yes, that is the edp cable. Can you send a picture of the damage to the hinge? Are you sure that the edp cable is not damaged?

Strangely enough, it's back working again. Wowww. But it's going to go black again. How can I rule out the problem

i looked at the cable and it seems fine, the teeth on it seem ok. the laptop is on now and i figured it was shutting down when i pressed enter, because bitlocker does this when you have too many false attempts. Now i have to put the battery back in properly again cus i didn't. i hope to do a memory test to rule out ram problem, i just know that i can't be a gpu problem, or can it?

i notice now that the battery is no longer working, when i put it in, and hold the power button, i get this intermittent robot sounding high pitch sound coming from the battery itself. it's very very small sound(i had the back cover off) and it doent make this sound when the battery is out. right now the charger has to be plugged in for anything to work

Can you send some of the damaged hinge? It is possible that the hinge is pressing on the cable. About the battery, what happens when you reset?

i could send you one tomorrow, the hinge itself is screwed in properly, it's just the plastic bezel that surrounds it.. the clips are damaged so you can imagine what it's like for me. i have to hold it together. the cable is there and right now i can touch it and all that and nothing happens. I'm really not sure if it's the cables. I've reset the battery multiple times, with it in, out. It makes a repetitive high pitch but nearly inaudible sound when i hold power. i can check it again tomorow but chances are i may just order in a new battery if i can't get this one up and running

the model is g3-571, i'd say i'll have to buy in a new battery at this stage. i may have broke it myself cus when i was putting it in, it's almost like there was something in the middle of the battery port thingy, so i was trying to force it in. i'm not entirely sure.

hi and thanks for helping. When the lithium battery is out, it doesn't work without the charger, I have a video for you.. in it if you listen closely i can hear a sound when i hold the power button with the battery in, i have the back cover off so i can hear it better. What is causing this? i noticed a few times the battery wouldn't go in and just wobble side to side like something was obstructing it, but now it's in. Here's the video.
