Hello everybody!
I recently bought acer swift 3 with i5 10020u, 8 gb ram, 512 gb ssd, win 10.
I noticed that the boot time was around 16 sec which seams slow comparing to hp pavilion x360 with i3, 8gb, 256 gb ssd and his boot time of 10-11 sec. ( >30% faster).
My friend suggested that i take a look at acer's bios to check the "fast boot" option.
After entering the BIOS on my swift 3, i noticed that the fast boot option was already checked.
I unchecked the fast boot option in BIOS just to see what the boot time will bi without this option in BIOS.
To my suprise, to boot time increased by 40%! and the boot time now is around 10 sec!! i tryed shuting it down and
turning on for about 10 times, and the boot time is no always around 10 sec, which is much faster then the original 16-17 sec.
My question is - is there any rational explanation for the boot time to be faster without the bios option for fast boot??
I should state, that in the control panel's menu for "change what the power button does" the fast boot option is still checked!
