Acer VG220q (bmiix) has sound but no screen is displaying.

Hi, I bought this monitor a couple of days ago and it had just arrived, I’ve hooked this up to my PS4 but when I turn everything on nothing will display. I can hear the system music on the PS4 user select screen yet nothing displays on the screen itself, I’ve tried a bunch of different HDMI cables I have laying around and it’s all the same, not even the config menu for the monitor will come up, the only thing that does happen is that the screen will turn on and off then the sound comes through which I’m guessing the monitor itself detects the PS4 and switching over to the appropriate HDMI port. Is there a solution to this or did my Monitor come in with a problem?

Do you see a splash screen when you turn the monitor on? Can you access the OSD menu? If neither of those are appearing the monitor may be the problem. You could try a power reset, disconnect everything including the power cable, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds or so, the wait a few minutes and plug everything back in then turn it back on...
