So i have been endlessly trying to find a replacement motherboard for the Spin 3 SP314-53N. So far I have only found motherboards for the SP313, SP315 and SP314XS which I believe are all incompatible. Any help on where I could go about finding one?

OK, the description Acer gives for that motherboard is: DL4FA MB_8G/INTEL CPU 999FF4 I7-8565U 1.8G SRFFW/UMA/PCIE//PEGATRON
I'm making the assumption that your 16GB of memory is 8GB soldered in and 8GB in a socket. They don't show the actual part number though. I'll see if I can get that info elsewhere.
Unfortunately, the technician is a little bit off... The processor is soldered in as is the first 8GB of memory. So you have to purchase a MB that includes those components, which raises the price over the cost of a MB without them, but it also lowers the initial price of the laptop since socketing those costs extra and uses more space giving you a thicker laptop. You might look into sending it to Acer for repair, they might have a flat rate for MB swaps that is better than retail for a replacement MB.

Which SP314-53N do you have? I see something like a dozen different motherboards, depending on processor installed, memory installed and whether or not it has the discrete video. Yours isn't the GN, so wouldn't have the discrete graphics, but I need to know which processor and how much memory is installed.

I can't tell which SP314-53N I have but it has an i7-8565U @ 1.80GHz, 16GB of RAM and an Intel UHD 620 for graphics.

The reason I'm trying to change the motherboard is because some liquid was spilled over the laptop and it won't charge anymore. Everything works fine, in fact I'm typing this on the spin 3, but it just won't charge or turn on if it isn't plugged in. A technician tested the battery and said it was fine so he said that the charging circuit was toast and I had to get a new motherboard. He added that components like the processor and RAM are interchangeable so that I would only need the base model motherboard and I could swap/add the other components.

Am I doing the right thing following his advice or what should I do?
