Does the Acer VN7-791-78VM have M2 slot?

Hello guys!

I want to buy a M.2 SSD for my laptop, I did a little search and I think my laptop has M.s slot, but I am not sure about that. Doing my search I just figured out my notebook model is a VN7-791-78VM and not the VN7-791G-78VM... Is there a difference between them? Do my computer have the M2 slot? If it has, is it compatible with wich type of M2?

I bought this computer in 2014, and it runs pretty good, I just want to do a little upgrade in it.

I really hope you guys can help me!

Your Acer Nitro VN7-791-78VM which you can refer to as the Nitro VN7-791 has a SATA slot M.2 (right photo) and comes with a 2.5 inch spinner mechanical SATA HDD which you can replace with a SATA 2.5 SSD also. The below photo shows the difference between the two M.2's key slots.

The SSD SATA key slot on the motherboard is situated (see red highlighted area below) and you have to disassemble the laptop and take the motherboard out, as its on the flip side of the motherboard as seen when you open the laptop up to install this M.2 SSD, there are no openings to open (on the back cover) for easy access to either add an M.2 SSD or
    replace/add new RAM.

    Hi!

Let's dig up old topic. Same situation as before. I am willing to buy M.2 SSD for my laptop (model: VN7-791G-77M6), but got stuck on SATA, PCIe, NVMe stuff. According to info above I have PCIe slot, with notch on the right side. So I am confused, am I really stuck with SATA III m.2 at the best, or can I buy PCIe NVMe SSD (which gen or version, if so)?

Other question bothering me is limitation of SSD size. Quite often I see comments of 250GB limit of SSD upgrade, on the other hand there are several DIY tutorials of running 1 or even more TB SSDs (most of them SATA III).

Can anyone help me out with this misery or show me where I could find info?
