I recently purchased a HTC VIVE pro, and attempted to use it on my Acer helios 300 ( model ph315-51) its the version with the gtx 1060. all was well but the headset uses display port, which isn't on my laptop, I used an adapter and hooked it up to the HDMI ( i can't find what version) and it won't detect the VR at all. I presume the HDMI isn't compatible so I'm trying to find out if the USB-c works, from reading online it doesn't seem so ( no video output) , is there any possible way for me to fix this issue? as it is I have a paperweight just as expensive as my laptop, maybe even more.
