What is your computer model number or
Just enter: Acer "model Number" Max memory    in Google.  This works most of the time.

I'm running an Aspire V3-571G with stock i7-3620QM cpu which has the same motherboard "Chipset: Ivy Bridge HM77" with 2x 4GB PC3-14900 ram and its been working perfectly for over 2 years.

Its running at 1777MHz speed, to find out run cmd as administrator and type in: wmic memorychip get manufacturer, capacity, partnumber, speed, memorytype, devicelocator, formfactor and with "Task Manager" stats of 1867MHz with no problems.

    For V3-571G, Crucial says 8GB max DDR3L-1600/12800 SODIMM. If you're running PC3-14900/DDR3L 1866, you're using a faster memory.Even if you bought
1600 with a lower CAS number, it wouldn't make a big difference.
Do you know what comes after
    V3-571G, The V3-571G-6622 supports 16GB.
You will only have 2 memory slots in the laptop.
