Acer Predator Helios 500 wont boot into post.

I picked up a predator 500 ph517-61-r0gx off new egg a couple months ago, was wotking fine untill last night while playing snowrunner it powered off (no shutdown screen, more of a hard turn off, like a conplete loss of power). When i try to start it up my boot process doesnt even make it to post. Ive tried with and without the battery plugged in, i held the power for 15 seconds without the battery or being plugged in to dicipate any storred charge, i made sure the cpu looked good, i unplugged the cmos battery to clear the bios. Im nkt sure what to try next any ideas would be apreciative.

  • Can you verify that this button is being pressed by placing a few layers of electrical tape?

  • No. The button I checked is the power interruption button.
    The battery reset button is next to the ssds. Can you send a picture of the motherboard?

    In addition to the rtc battery, try disconnecting the lithium battery and pressing the power button for 30 seconds.
    It took me a couple days, i had to order a battery because it was dead, but that wasnt the issue....

    Have you ever tried to disconnect rams, hdd and ssds and then tried to connect them individually? furthermore, is your notebook under warranty?

    Have you ever tried to disconnect rams, hdd and ssds and then tried to connect them individually? furthermore, is your notebook under warranty? 
    Warranty ended on may 2nd... and seeing how im not making it into the bios i havent reinstalled my storage incase i needed to do something else with the motherboard.... ill try dropping it down to one stick of ram

  • I don't know if Acer has expanded the warranty because of the pandemic, as some manufacturers have done. I suggest that you contact Acer technical support to find out if they can check your motherboard, due to the pandemic.

    Assm0nky i think probably acer have extended the warranty periods due to the pandemic as all other major manufacturers did the same contact them directly and ask them :)

    Assm0nky contact acer support directly make sure you have your purchase receipt they will guide through it most times going through the seller will only slow things down as they might not know what to do anyway better to go straight to the manufacturer :)

    Yea ima gonna leave this to tinker with, i sent a ticket in and they want $800....
