Hi there, I am using a SPIN 5 laptop 2 in 1. But since I have an external monitor attached, i would like to use just the keyboard of the laptop while it is in the tablet mode rather than using an external keyboard. I like the Acer Spin 5 keyboard. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am able to duplicate the screen on both the laptop and the external monitor, thats not the problem. I am wondering that if I want to use just the keyboard of the laptop while it is in tablet mode and use the external monitor as the only monitor as a possibility, because as soon as i fold the laptop in the tablet, its physical keyboard stops working.

    thanks!

Are you talking about tent mode vs laptop mode? Why not simply toggle just the lid screen off in laptop mode? Jack E/NJ

You are correct, when the laptop is swiveled to more than 180° between the base and the screen, so tent mode or tablet mode, the keyboard is disabled. That keeps you from accidentally typing something when you have the keyboard inverted. I believe it's a hardware cutout and not changeable with software. You can do as JackE suggests and use the machine in laptop mode to keep the keyboard active.
