Acer Aspire A515-54G - how do I fix the keyboard?

Hello, I'm using Aspire 5 A515-54G (i5-10210u, MX250).

One keyboard's button (precisely: "R" key) two days ago became suddenly completely unresponsive. Pressing it had a very "gummy-rubbery" feel, without the ''click'' sound. So I decided to press the ''R'' key bit harder, few times in a row, and it seemed like the issue was fixed.

The problem is that now I notice, that the ''R'' key still has some problems. It does not feel gummy at all, there is a click sound - so that's good I guess. However, if I would press the button gently, then the keystorke would not be registered as it should. Even standard press-force fails quite very often. Pressing the key in its corner rather than the very middle nearly guarantees a fail. During writing this Question the "R" key failed like 5+ times.

How do I fix it? Is there any way that I can fix it myself? Should I visit some local repair store who perhaps can fix it within few minutes?

I cannot send the Laptop to the Acer team and wait for perhaps a month or two without a PC, if you get me.

Not easy to fix because hygroscopic debris, usually food crumbs, accumulate under the keycovers  and become sticky by absorbing air moisture in high humidity conditions especially toward summertime. The best way to clean it up is to actually pry the keycover off but is difficult to put back on due to the teeter-totter key mechanism. I suggest that you first try to move the laptop to a drier air conditioned location for a few hours. Then use a fine facial blush brush to gently try to push its bristles under the keycover while blowing canned compressed air or a vacuum cleaner nozzle near the underside of the key cover to try to dislodge this debris.  Jack E/NJ
