Hello,
Ive upgraded my ram to 16gb on my Aspire XC-605, but the total available ram still remains at 12gb, I found tutorials online and it said I could change it in the bios, but I'm finding nothing in there, any other ways? I'm running Bios version is either P11-V4 or 2.15.1236, One's listed at the top of the bios page and one is listed at the bottom so I'm not really sure. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Which specific memory modules did you install? Can you post an image of the specs showing only 12GB? You might also try CPU-Z, it gives you good info about your memory.

So heres a image of the system Information, and it seems the number went down even more. The Ram I have installed is 2x 8Gb sticks of G.Skill F3-2400C11-8GSR

Use GPUz to find out specs and type of ram and total ram on "Memory" look at size and "SPD" look at slot #1 and #2 for specs. From the "sys info" that you have provided above the "Installed Physical Memory (RAM) is 16GB" so what is the problem? The Total Physical Memory is always lower than the "Installed Physical Memory". Anyway, to find out all memory details from cmd prompt, go to cmd prompt run as administrator and type in: wmic memorychip list full this should give you all the info you need, you can also find out total system memory capacity by typing in (same as you did above) systeminfo | findstr /C:"Total Physical Memory"

    Total system memory capacity

That looks normal. You have the 16GB installed, you just have the OS and programs using some of it. First up Task Manager and look at the Performance tab  or Resource Monitor and look at the Memory tab to see what's using it up. Likely your browser will be the biggest user.
