So the other day i tried turning on my chromebook and nothing happened. It was plugged in, but there was no led indicating that it was getting power. Tried hard resetting it, tried detaching the display, nothings working. It was charging and working fine the night before and the only thing I ever use it for is youtube and spotify. Please help, this is seriously bugging me and Itd be hard to make money for a new one cuz yk, pandemic.

I am having the same problem with a Aspire E1-571 laptop.  No leds light and no power with or without the battery installed.  The power cord checks good as it puts out 19.5 VDC.  The jack it plugs into on the computer seems to measure fine, resistance-wise, zero ohms from outer shell to ground and approximately 20k ohms to ground from the center pin to ground.  Hopefully someone will post something here that will help both of us.
  • It seems that there is a power interruption button on some of the motherboard: https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/242104/Chromebook+Acer+C720P+not+turning+on
