Clueless about what to do regarding my failing SSD (Predator G9-593)
Hi everyone,
I have a Predator 15.6" laptop, with a Samsung MZNTY128HDHP SSD as the system drive. I've recently been getting error messages through the Intel Rapid Storage Technology application, reporting a SMART event. After some research, I ran the Acer diagnostic application, plus HDD Regenerator, both of which displayed grave messages about imminent failure, and advising immediate backups.
I really have no idea where to go from here - I've never replaced a laptop HD, if that's what is necessary. I'm really hoping there is an easier fix, although it doesn't sound promising!
I'd be very grateful of any guidance on what to do next. I really don't want my laptop to fail and be unusable, especially while I'm locked down! Thanks everyone!
