Hello everyone , i had this laptop for one year and the keyboard worked perfectly but now the "s" key works intermittently , i may press it 5 times but it only works once. This started happening few days after i replaced the RAM stick with a new and better one , also cleaned the cpu fan on this ocassion.
This "s" key , sometimes ,  when it starts working more often ,  also types twice on a single press.
The caps lock key also doesn't work all the time but it is not as bad.

What i tried until now was:
-> popping the "s" key off and cleaning it
-> reinstalling keyboard driver
-> changing the keyboard language
-> filter keys in ease of access settings

Can provide more details if requested.
Sorry if this does not belong here but i wanted to see if any of you guys had this problem / know a fix for it , ty for reading!

    This is a common problem with keyboards on some Acer laptops, I've got a V3-571G that its keyboard is a mess and has similar problems with the 1/! key that randomly starts to type the "1111" continually and allot of the keys will not type unless you press them twice or three times. Try changing the keyboard as your "S key and caps lock key" might be damaged and stuck and the keyboard needs replacing. This is not a software problem but a hardware problem that unfortunately is to do with the keyboard mechanism after its been used and also it depends on how much you have used the keyboard, as their mechanisms wear and deteriorate and they need replacing.

    Ty for the response sir , great to know it is not a software problem , but i was hoping for a cheaper fix than changing the keyboard.
    I also noticed something interesting with this problem of mine , if i put the laptop on the bed , the "s" key works perfectly up until the laptop starts heating (if i play games). If i hold the laptop on my lap , it almost never works. So the position the laptop is in affects the performance of the key.
    Also , what i don't really understand , if this was to be a problem between the keyboard and the motherboard , or maybe the connection between them directly , why only one key has this kind of problems ? How come the keys next to it work perfectly ?
