Hello,

I purchased this Acer ET241Y monitor brand new and it looks great. However, I am getting no sound from the speakers when plugged in via HDMI. Windows 10 sound manager shows sound being output and the device is set as primary device correctly. However, no sound is actually coming. When I try adjusting the monitor speaker settings, I press the speaker icon but nothing happens.

Looking for assistance. Thank you!

Do you know which ET241Y model you have? There are different SKUs and some have speakers and some do not. They are typically a few dollars cheaper without speakers...

Hi billsey, thank you for your reply. I am not sure - is there a way I can find out? I purchased it from Costco online a couple months ago. It was fairly cheap ($90) so I am assuming you are correct about it being cheaper without speakers.

The model number should be on a sticker, usually on the back. It is likely something like ET241Y BID or some other set of letters. Those ending letter define which pieces are included, such as speakers and ports.
