I was trying to increase my RAM of My Aspire 3 model A315-51-50BU, I opened the back panel to find a 4Gb stick already in the slot, it is said that a 4Gb Stick is soldered onto the bored, this doesn't seem to be the case and now i have two 4Gb sticks of RAM and only one slot to put it in. Please help me understand this and if there is a solution so i can upgrade to *8Gb of RAM. Thank you

Press Win+R. Enter 'msinfo32'. How much total physical RAM is shown in the right pane? Jack E/NJ

It says the total physical RAM is 3.88Gb.

Your mainboard apparently has an unfilled soldered RAM socket. So, according to the specs, you can only swap the 4GB module with either an 8GB or 16GB DDR4 module. Jack E/NJ
