So I have this Acer Laptop its the Aspire 3 (A315).

Been using it for about a year.

The first few months I noticed that when only pressing the power button, the thing won't turn on, sometimes I gotta press in a bit harder, press multiple times, or press some other button AND THEN it would turn on.

Problem is, right now (after about a year) the laptop wouldn't even turn on.

When I plug it in, the charging indicator light turns on.
When I press the power button, it doesn't respond.
Sometimes it would turn on, but on the booting up process it would just turn off out of nowhere.

Sometimes I would be able to get it to boot up to the bios, but any buttons wouldn't give me any respond (arrow keys, enter, escape, or anything wouldn't do it's thing on screen).
Then shortly after it would just turn off again.

I tried draining the battery, tried resetting the battery with the paperclip thing but nothing seems to work, I really need this for online college so any bit of help will be much appreciated.

I also read about some other guy having similar problems and someone said his keyboard might be faulty/short circuit.
Is that possible?

Try this. Remove the charger. Then press and hold a paperclip into the battery reset pinhole again. Then, while still holding the paperclip into the pinhole, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Then plug the  charger back in. Wait for the battery charge light to changer to blue from orange. Then press the power button to try to turn the machine back on. Jack E/NJ
