Acer Nitro 5 an515-53 laptop - Win 10 doesn't recognize my new Crucial 512 GB SSD?

Ran out of space on the existing 256 SSD. So I added an additional new Crucial 512GB SSD in the 2nd SATA connection port. The BIOS recognizes that the existing and new drive are there, ie. both HDD0 and HDD1 slots show the correct SSDs, but in Win 10 the new disk doesn't appear. For instance, I click on "This PC", and the C: drive is the only one that shows up. The new 512 GB drive isn't there.  Would you help please?

It may in unallocated space create new simple volume.
Click on window icon search Disk Management then click on it and check

You have to initialize it first in disk management and assign drive letter if needed.

Thanks for your responses. It looks like I need to go through "Disk Management" and run two items;

1. Partition the drive. This step also assigns a letter to the new drive.
2. Format it. 

At that point, it should be ok and recognizable by Win 10. If I run into any issues, I'll come back here and note them. The following links were helpful;
