Hello everyone. Recently I have bought an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54-53P6 (I5 9300H - GTX 1650). It comes with an 8GB RAM default. I wonder if this laptop support dual channel ram technology, since I intend to upgrade another 8GB RAM for this laptop.

Yes,acer nitro 5 model support upto 32GB ram.
If you want to upgrade ram
1st, check current ram speed in task manager and cpu-z.
For example-if ram speed is 2666mhz then buy new ram with 2666mhz.if you buy higher then speed with down to 2666mhz.

    And in additional
I do NOT recommend using two ram sticks of different sizes. Waste of money
If you want best ram performance then make sure
1)Both ram sticks to be of equal size
    2) Both ram sticks to be of equal voltage
    3) Both ram sticks to be of equal CL (cas latency)
    4) Equal mhz DDR4 ram sticks

Its a bit confusing? As you got reference to "Crucial Ballistix SODIMM 32GB Kit (2 x 16GB) DDR4-3200 Gaming Memory (Black) BL2K16G32C16S4B" above, so are you putting a 32GB kit or just 1x 8GB or 16GB Crucial Ballistix SODIMM 32GBThe DDR4-3200 @ 1.35V? Also note this, the Crucial Ballistic is an overclocked memory so it might not even work in your AN517-51 but, it might just work at a lower frequency or not at all and you won't be able to boot your laptop. Check all the memory parameters within cmd prompt and this links to those guides.

Also, take note of the rule as colleague GAMING6698 has pointed out above, and that is to put 2x equal memory sticks of equal GB size, frequency, CAS#, RAS# to CAS#, RAS# %, tRAS and tRC and voltage memory and not mix them up.

Absolutely not necessary that Rams should have same size. Rams however must have same CL, profile, voltages and other specs for best performance or else they are set to the specs of the lower ram of the two in dual ram configurations. I am sorry but people here tend to give misinformation when it's about Rams.

Plenty of similar articles are available from trusted tech sources.

I myself have 8+16gb config in 'Dual channel' mode and have absolutely no issue with it.

If you put mismatched sticks in, you lose the dual channel speed boost, that is why it is suggested to match them.

Hello, Last week I've bought Kingston Ram and i add to my Acer Nitro 5 AN-515-45 but its not running on dual channel, its only running on 2x 64bit. My question is how can i run with Dual Channel ram.
