Acer predator helios 300 G3-571 battery does not charge, orange light blinks when plugged in

I used to have great battery life on this laptop and now I have 0% available (plugged in). If I pull the plug the laptop will shut itself off. 

So far I have uninstalled and reinstalled the battery drivers, pushed a paper clip into the battery restart hole, put extra padding under the memory card slot to make sure the power thru button was pushed down, opened up the laptop to check the wires, changed the battery with a brand new one, reinstalled the battery drivers and did a battery reset. 

After I installed the new battery, the light was solid and I turned on the laptop. The battery icon was charging but when I hovered over it, it only said 0% and plugged in. A few moments later it stopped moving the icon and the light was blinking again. I repeated a few of the steps and I could not get the light to stop blinking. 

I tried to update the firmware and install some windows update but I get the "cannot apply updates until battery is charged to 25%" message. I read somewhere it could be windows 10 that is doing this, but I even tried to reboot the whole system to only have it fail because the battery cannot be charged. 

I tried plugging the charger into different wall outlets around the house and even at work and it still doesn't do anything different. There is no signs of damage on the charger.

Any help or other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I downloaded the new BIOS as well and I was doing the installer and that too came up and said sorry you do not have enough battery to continue...I feel like I am really stuck between a rock and a hard place with this laptop now. It works perfectly fine when its plugged in. Gaming is great with no issues. The only issue is I cannot move it from one area to the next without having it shut off for me. I could have bought a desktop since I would like to use this laptop for daily use as well in different locations.

I got a new charger and I still have the blinking light once plugged in and not charging. I ordered a new charge port. Hopefully that is the issue. If that is not it issue, does that mean its the motherboard?

I checked your answer in the other topic. Have you checked the battery status with hwinfo64?

This is what I get when I run that program. I am trying to figure out how to flash my bios by getting around the battery requirement.

I just updated the bios to v1.22 by changing the temp files around but the new bios update did not fix this issue either.

See that the design capacity of the battery is at 0%. It is as if the battery is in trouble or is not being recognized. I would try to disconnect the battery from the motherboard, to see if it solves the problem. I also suggest that you reset the battery:

@egydiocoelho I tired that and I get the same result. I looked at the connector on the motherboard and the pins seem to be nice straight. The connection looks fine as well when I plug it back in. I did the battery reset as well and uninstalled the drivers. This is a brand new battery as well.

Can you tell if the new battery has the same voltage as the old battery?

It does. This laptop was not used for for 2 years at least. When I first got it, the computer was great and was able to charge from the start. I put the laptop back into the box and it was stored safely in a temperature safe area. Theres no dust or any signs of wear even. I thought it was the power brick since it was wrapped around itself so I replaced that as well.

Even if you don't use the notebook and keep it at an appropriate temperature, the battery life will run out over time. Have you tried changing the lithium battery and the rtc battery?

@egydiocoelho I have replaced the lithium battery, I did not replace the rtc battery. I will order that next to see if that is the culprit. I tried everything else and I just saw the location for it when I changed the charging port just now. I will order a new rtc battery now since changing the main battery, the charging port, the charging adapter and updating the bios did not work.

Also, have you tested the power adapter with a multimeter too?

Yes I have. I bought a second one. They both test normally. I am using them in the same outlet I used it in the past and that I use for other laptops and electronics.

I did try that as well. That was one of the first things I tried. I am awaiting a new RTC battery to arrive so I can try that.

If your notebook is switching on, can you check the status of the lithium battery with hwinfo64?

Yes I have, I've tested both power adapters.
