Why do basic programs open for 5 secnds, then dissapear? Or crash? or...tech-lingo stuff.....

Lemme expand on that incredibly clusterfucked question. So, heres the deal, heres how this shin-dig went down. I got an Acer predator Helios 300. Goody on me. I love the thing, it works great. It plays games, can open firefox....And thats all she wrote, kids. My little search bar thingy, itll close down if I start typing. Netflix will look like its about to open, but alas, much like Liam Hemsworth's marriage, its done before it started (wasnt my best one-liner, but hey). Anywho, it runs really graphic intensive games brilliantly, firefox works like a charm, just nothin else is really workin for me. I aint a learned man like you fine folk, and my idea of technology involves praying TO it to work #Blasphemy (it hasnt heard my pleads as of yet). Did I do somethin to...offend...it..? Anyway, any advice would be great.
