I want to do a bios update, because I bought a i5 3340 6M Cache 3.10, Ivy Bridge Core and my motherboard doesn't recognize the processor. When I press the power button, it powers for 1 second then it shuts down, and then, when I put back my old processor, a Intel Celeron CPU G550 2,20GHz, it starts. I looked on internet and it said that i have to update the bios that the motherboard will recognize the i5. I only ask for help how to update the bios, because, I don't Have on the Bios the utility menu, and I don't know how to put the update files on the stick. I looked on youtube for tutorials, but i found nothing to help me, so I am asking you, guys. Thank you for you time !

That is correct, you need a different chipset on your motherboard to support the 3rd generation chips, it's not a BIOS update.

It's not a software solution. The other chipset is different hardware, and that means a motherboard replacement. In addition to the MB you will likely have to swap the memory out for higher speed memory to match the 3rd gen chips.
