Battery suddenly stopped working
Hi, I bought an Acer Predator Helios 300 (PH315-52-7210) last week, it arrived Monday. At the start it didn't powered on until I plugged it into the wall, I thought it was discharged but after plugging it I waited a few minutes powered it on and it was at about 93%. I let it fully charge and then used it until it almost drained, then have been using it plugged since. Today when I woke up I tried to open a game with it unplugged to test the battery consumption under heavy load and it powered off and refused to power on until I plugged it in.
After I plugged it and turned it on the system said my battery was charging and was at 93%. But if I try to unplug it it immediately shuts off. Also the battery never charges, it's forever on 93%, even when powered off (I left it powered off and plugged in for half an hour and the light on the side was still orange, indicating charging not fully charged).
I read that some models have a battery reset switch, but I can't seem to find it in mine.
A couple of things that might make a difference, I bought the laptop in Brazil and one of the first things I did after checking everything was working was install Linux in it.
