Battery suddenly stopped working

Hi, I bought an Acer Predator Helios 300 (PH315-52-7210) last week, it arrived Monday. At the start it didn't powered on until I plugged it into the wall, I thought it was discharged but after plugging it I waited a few minutes powered it on and it was at about 93%. I let it fully charge and then used it until it almost drained, then have been using it plugged since. Today when I woke up I tried to open a game with it unplugged to test the battery consumption under heavy load and it powered off and refused to power on until I plugged it in.

After I plugged it and turned it on the system said my battery was charging and was at 93%. But if I try to unplug it it immediately shuts off. Also the battery never charges, it's forever on 93%, even when powered off (I left it powered off and plugged in for half an hour and the light on the side was still orange, indicating charging not fully charged).

I read that some models have a battery reset switch, but I can't seem to find it in mine.

A couple of things that might make a difference, I bought the laptop in Brazil and one of the first things I did after checking everything was working was install Linux in it.

Also to clarify if I try to power it on while not plugged in it does nothing.

And I guess I forgot to ask my questions

    - is there a way to reset the battery without opening the chassis?

    - if I have to open the chassis, does that void the warranty?

    - is there anything else I should try?  Or do you have any idea what can this possibly be?

If your computer will not power on or your battery is behaving abnormally, try resetting the battery using the pinhole reset button. This process will temporarily disconnect and then reconnect the internal battery.

    1. Unplug AC power adapter.
    2. Locate the battery reset pinhole on the bottom of the computer.
    3. Insert a small paperclip in the battery reset pinhole. Hold the reset button for 4 seconds.
    4. Let the computer sit for 5 minutes with no power.
    5. Connect the AC adapter and power on the system

@GAMING6698 like I mentioned my model doesn't seem to have a reset hole, or at least I couldn't find it.
