Hardware or software problem? Operating painfully slow, whirring and crashing.
Dear community - I have had problems with my computer that I assumed was a virus, but after every virus/malware/everything scan nothing can be found. My computer runs painfully slow. The drive or fan is always whirring - like the computer is working hard. And it crashes every time the computer goes to sleep. I have asked ACER support - and one said that it was a software problem and suggested the extended warranty. When I called back the next day, they said it was a hardware problem and that they couldn't help me. So, not sure what to do. Any suggestions on what to do? Computer is a Aspire E15 with Windows 10. Thanks for any help!
