hi everyone,

the battery light on my laptop would typically be orange when charging, and blue when fully charged. however, for some reason there is no light whatsoever now. also, the battery icon on my screen shows that my laptop is plugged in, but the percentage isn't going up - it just stays at 61%, and has been like that for hours.

i've tried restarting my laptop, and using the battery reset with no luck. the battery reset doesn't seem to do anything. this seemingly happened overnight as everything was fine yesterday - does anyone have any suggestions?

Try uninstalling the battery drivers and check and also try the below step and check
BIOS default:Press the power button but as soon as you press than power button , tap on the F2 key repeatedly untill you get the BIOS setup utility page. Once you enter the BIOS press the F9 and press enter and press F10 press enter. The unit will restart , after the unit comes on check and see.

Try what "@_klawson" has suggested and also, have you checked the charger condition and its DC plug that connects to the charging port of the laptop? This could be either the charger is faulty and/or a connection problem to the laptop hindering the charger from working. There is no way that a charger just stops working for no reason, its either a connection problem, a DC jack problem or a battery problem as you laptop is a few years old (2015-16) and the battery should need replacing. Check all those items as that is where your problem is.
