Hi.
I use an acer nitro 5 AN515-53-52FA, 128GB SSD, 1TB HDD. I was working on it yesterday when it suddenly froze for about 10mins, then i hard shut it, but when i turned it on again, it showed me *no bootable option* after the acer logo.
A quick check at the bios information shows that no driver is being listed there. Pls what do i do???

    Hi,
    Try battery reset:
Press and hold the power button for 15 sec. unplug the charger and wait for about 15-20 min.
Plug the charger after that and power on.
If that doesn`t help either test the drive on other pc or send to Acer for repair

    Thanks for your reply batmalin.
I've tried the battery reset, no progress. And i've also tested the drive on another pc. The pc didn't recognize it.
    What next??
Is it a failed hard drive??
Do i need to get another 1.

And just been curious as i don't really know much about the technicalities of a computer, did my ssd also fail, cos i thought that the windows is always installed in the ssd and the computer would always boot from where the windows os is installed

According to the specs from provided model number your model is shipped with 1tb 2.5` HDD only, so if your HDD is dead the only solution is to replace it

    Okay thanks man.

One more thing, any ideas on how to recover some data from my failed HDD as it wasn't recognised by another laptop when i connected it using a hard drive casing and usb

Try with desktop PC but if that doesn`t work you have to contact a data recovery company and decide if the data is worth the offer for the recovery
