Aspire F5-573T white screen and power issues

I'm in need of some advice. I have an Acer Aspire F5-573T that has a few problems. I actually like this computer, but it's driving me nuts. When I tilt the screen, it either goes black/white or starts to have this spreading white pattern. When I press on the edge of the screen (black plastic on the bottom and lower right side...between the acer logo and the right side), it seems to resolve (I currently have a money clip on one of the points to apply constant pressure). If I connect it to an external monitor, everything looks fine on the external display. I opened it up and I don't see a problem with the connection cable. Any suggestions? If you suggest parts, where would I get them?

Lastly, there is an issue with the power jack. Again, I opened it up and looked at the connector....it looked fine. The computer is only able to charge if the power cable is running across the keyboard (I'm assuming that it keeps the connection straight or something). Suggestions?

It's only a few years old, but past the warranty point. I'd rather not spend the money to buy a new computer, if something can be easily fixed (seems wasteful). Please let me know if you have any advice. Thank-you!

Did you check the edp cable on the motherboard only? Or did you check the connection of the edp cable on the motherboard and on the display?

I definitely checked the connection to the motherboard. I was thinking of taking it apart again and checking the display connection. Last time, I didn't remove the "Do not touch" tape on the screen....nervous! If I do remove the tape, is there anything I should be cautious about or specifically look for? Thank-you!

Thank-you! I think the problem is under the "do not touch" tape on the screen itself. I'm not sure what's under there, but I'll take a look.

Hi again,
I ended up ordering a new screen from Amazon and it now seems to be working perfectly. I wish it was just the connector cable, but unfortunately, it was the more expensive option to repair it. Oh well! still less than purchasing a new laptop. I also purchased a new power jack, but that hasn't arrived yet. Thank-you for your help!
