Battery not charging and CD/DVD compartment not working after upgrading to Intel wireless card

Hi people, so I got a major setback here with my F5-573. I bought an Intel 9260 wireless card to support 5Ghz wifi and well it's working perfectly but the thing is, after I did this my battery isn't charging at all and the CD/DVD compartment also doesn't work, no LED blinks nor does it open. This is strange because I didn't even have to handle with these parts since the wireless card is pretty visible and easy to replace. Any suggestions? I checked for drivers, re-opened the whole thing to see if there was any cable loose but everything seems to be fine.

Hi thanks for the answer, I'd opened the laptop again and saw the CD/DVD compartment was upside down and not connecting to the receptor, the dumb me. Have a great day. xo
