Acer Switch 5 screen went black, but power button still blue - forced reset doesn't work

Hope to find help here. The screen of my 1.5 year old Acer Switch 5 (Model number N17P5) turned black today during normal usage. The blue light on the side remains on, indicating that it is still on. When I plugged in the charger, the blue light did not turn from blue to orange, as it should if it's charging. Pressing down the power button does not lead to any changes, also not if I press it in combination with the volume button up or volume button down. The Acer Switch 5 does not have a manual battery reset pinhole. I am currently waiting for the battery to drain, but I'm not even sure the laptop is really on.
