hello guys my laptop is aspire f15 (F5-573G-780B). it has a 4gb 2133hz ram on it and i want to add an 8gb ram on the open slot. my question is if do i need to buy a 8gb ram with 2133hz speed? or i can buy a 8gb ram with different speed?

Your ram will always work to the lowest denominator e.g. if you have 4GB DDR4 PC4-21300 MB/s and you pair it with an 8GB PC4-25600 MB/s your PC will work at the lower 21300 MB/s speeds and also, it depends on your processor mem specs also, which the Acer Aspire F5-573G-780B comes with the i7-6500U that has a memory spec of:

    1. Max Memory Size (dependent on memory type) - 32 GB

    2. Memory Types - DDR4-2133, LPDDR3-1866, DDR3L-1600

    3. Max Memory Bandwidth - 34.1 GB/s

I would put the same type and brand of 2x 8GB DDR4 PC4-21300 MB/s and not use the 4GB (but, it dependent on your budget) as that will be better (as your laptop can take 32Gb max ram) and be the most compatible with the i7-6500U cpu and it will also improve random available memory to processing power considerably. Also, you have an integrated Intel® HD Graphics 520 (that is your main graphics card and works 99% of the time) that will work better in tandem with the extra ram. Note, the NVIDIA GeForce 940MX with 2 GB of dedicated memory which is a mid-range laptop graphics card with DirectX 12 support (FL 11_0) only works on hard core applications and gaming.

its okay if i will buy crucial 8gb ddr4 2133hz and put it in the vacant slot? is it okay to buy different brands of ram? or do i need to really buy the same brand as the same of the stock 4gb ddr4 2133
