Hello.  I was trying to fix my wife's Switch (unrecognized hardware keyboard when exiting tablet mode). I let the machine update windows before I tried a new strategy. After the update the screen was on but black. I restarted it and windows 10 started but now the touchscreen, keyboard, and touchpad all stopped working. There is abosilutely no way to access the computer.  Any ideas how to proceed?

Plug an external keyboard or mouse in, you may need an adapter for the cable or better yet a USB hub with it's own power. Download and install the drivers from the Acer support site and you should get them all back.

External keyboard and mouse are not recognized. Is there a reset button somewhere on the computer? I can't find one.

It might have a diagnostic mode reached by holding one of the volume keys while turning it on, but that might have only been with the Android versions. You have a black screen and an external keyboard doesn't let you get into the BIOS. That doesn't sound very good. :(

The screen is not black; Windows loads normally. I'll try the volume buttons

    Thanks

If Windows is loading but without the touchscreen, touchpad or keyboard it sounds like the drivers aren't loaded. That would be normal if you did a Windows Reset, which puts you into a mode where just the stock Windows has been installed without the Acer specific drivers. A generic keyboard plugged into the USB port should work though, though IIRC your model has a microUSB port which might need an OTG cable adapter to fit the keyboard's type-A USB cable into the microUSB port.
