Question about updating Acer Drivers

Hi!! I was hoping to not need help like this but nothing is too easy, and I appreciate in advance for any help!! I was trying to play Battlefront 2 on this new Acer laptop that I just got. The game prompted me that I'd need a driver update to be able to play, so I clicked their link through to intel.com, where they scanned my laptop for 4 updates that could get done, one being for the driver that I need updated. When I tried to install this stuff from Intel, it wouldn't work, and I got a prompt that I'd have to contact my computer manufacturer to get the driver. Each update besides that one that I wanted had no problem installing. I can't figure anything out on the Acer website and can't communicate with them so I thought that I'd post here! Have any of you had this happen with you, and if so or not, what can I do to take care of getting the driver updated?

The problem is that the intel website is trying to install a DCH driver, while you have installed a STANDARD driver. Do it:

a) first download the dch driver:

https://downloadmirror.intel.com/29465/a08/igfx_win10_100.7985.zip

b) then, disable the wireless network card and go to the device manager. Go to the intel video card driver and click uninstall and delete the driver.

c) then, restart windows and install the latest driver.

Is this for the Intel graphics driver? If it is then completely uninstall your previous Intel driver through “Device Manager>Display adaptors>(right click the Intel adaptor) and Uninstall device” then reboot and install the new Intel OEM graphics driver after you have rebooted the computer.

Thanks so much for the quick replies!! I deleted it and rebooted the computer, but I still can't install the driver with Intel, it gives me the message to get it from the computer manufacturer. So I'm hoping that I can hear back from somebody with Acer about it and get it back, since at this point I've deleted a huge chunk of everything altogether hahaha

Hey thanks for the help everyone. I ended up getting it figured out, deleted the driver and reinstalled the most updated one, and then actually got the game running super smoothly too and all was fine. Then later when I went to play the game again it gave me the prompt to update stuff again although there's nothing else to update!! Ugh it's just been layer and layer and layer after dumb stuff like this; do you all have any idea of what the problem could be now?
