I went to boot rainbow 6 awhile ago and got an error saying Battle eye couldn't launch because it couldn't be found so I restarted my PC and got a black screen that said reboot and select proper boot drive or insert boot media. I have a predator G3 -710 with the i7 - 7700, gtx 1070, I TB HDD, and 256G intel SSD. I've tried dozens of things to try and fix this. I ordered a new SSD Samsung 970evo making sure it was also an NVMe M.2 and that can't be found either. I can't tell if this is a mobo issue where maybe the M.2 port went bad or what. BIOS just says M.2 not installed and windows can't do anything. I've tried safebooting, BOIS updating, driver management to maybe partition, changing UEFI to Legacy, and cleaning out the port.

Looks like a MB issue, do you still have a warranty?

My warranty expired last year sadly. I expect I'll have to replace the mobo unless I decide to use a SATA SSD. Not sure how the speeds compare to be honest I just know they're much faster than HDDs but slower than M.2 SSDs.

    Yes SATA3 ~600MB/s
M2 PCIe ~5000MB/s but in reality max 3700MB/s doable from the high-end SSDs

I do have one other question. I don't know how to find the mobo model for replacement. I need an estimate for the repairs because I found out I actually have an extended warranty through a special with my Citibank.

You have to contact Acer support and provide them with serial number and they will tell you the model.
