Hi, starting April 17th the brightness control on my laptop doesn't work anymore. Here I mean changing brightness using F3 and F4 buttons. In addition, I can't use an external screen anymore. This came out of the blue, without me doing any (conscious) change on the laptop.

I deleted the Display adapter driver ('uninstall device' option), and let it install new. Looks like I have the latest driver recommended for my product. I did the same with the Monitors - Generic PnP Monitor driver. I made sure I have the latest Windows updates. FYI: Checking the update history on Windows Update shows that the latest update was installed on April 14th, KB4549951. This was a couple of days before April 17th when the problem started. I was using the laptop continuously since April 14th, never had a problem with the screen until April 17th.

Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Let me also mention that I tried using a different external monitor, with a different HDMI cable. It didn't work, so I suppose the problem is the laptop.
