hi everyone i have the nitro 50-600 gaming desktop and i purchased an extra 8GB of ram for this - when i initially tried to install it my PC i couldn't turn on at all - i figured out i had it in the wrong port - now after i have put it in the correct port it wont show up anywhere in the settings - i tried to do a restart hoping that it would pick it up but it doesn't work.

is there anything that i am doing wrong?? or steps that i am missing

 thanks in advance

You should purchase the same brand and specifications as the module inside the system. I have used Crucial RAM in all my other systems, but my Nitro 50 came with Kingston module install. The Crucial RAM, with identical specs, did not play well with the Kingston. Make sure you are adding DDR4 module with the same or fast speed. I understand a faster module should be installed in the number 1 slot.
