I have a TC-885 with the "R01-C0, 9/10/2019" BIOS.
I noticed that the ACER support has 2 updates; the R01-C1 & the R01-C2 available.
Should I update my BIOS?

Just update the BIOS, as long as you are not doing it during a thunderstorm when you could lose power, you are going to be fine.

We typically say don't update unless you are experiencing the problem the BIOS update fixes. It's too easy to do something wrong and brick your system. In almost all cases everything works fine, but it's those exceptions that get painful...

Except that Intel has a series of security issues (i.e. meltdown, spectre and many others) that can only be fixed by updating the microcode in the bios.

We know that your acer computer has a bios update relating to Intel ME and Intel ME has a bunch of security issues. But acer doesn't explain clearly which bios update is a security update.
