Hello all, so for about a week now, I have been trying to figure out what could have caused this, at first, the screen was a lime green color, but I was able to see see some sort of picture on it and what I was doing, be it playing an online game or watching, YouTube videos.

A few days later, the screen turned into the color you see now and now I can't see anything but a strip of the normal picture it use to show.

I honestly have no idea, what has caused this problem. So that is where you, the beautiful, Acer community come in at, a picture will be provided with other information!

Laptop name: Acer Aspire 3 - A315-31
S/N: NXGNTAA007XXXXXX
SNID: XXXXXX
Notes: The latest, Windows 10 update was the last update I did on the laptop when I was able to still see what I was doing.

Firstly, check your monitors connection wire and plug to the motherboard, open the Aspire 3 - A315-31 top cover and inspect, as most of these LCD Panel wires are interfeerd with and by the opening and closing of a laptop, as they are ight on and at the hindge and they can get damaged! Check if none of these connectiong wires are fraye or damaged and the plugis plugged in correctly and hasent come lose. Otherwise and its propably beause, your HD LED LCD panel screen has given up the ghost, to put it nieley lol replace your LCD Panel.

Thank you for this. It most likely is the LCD Screen since I've hardly had to open and close it. I have mainly just left it open and turned off while it was still open so I could power it back on to get back to work.

Thanks again for your unrivaled insight!

Not a problem, good luck with it and stay safe!
