I have a Helios 300 which I'm planning to underclock. Is it safe to underclock only the GPU clock without undervolting it etc.? Or is it advisable to undervolting the GPU as well? Thanks in advance.

Hi, yes you can underclock the GPU only without undervol but what is the point of doing that?

I'm doing it for thermal and performance reason, most games I played doesn't need the GPU to run at full clock speed all the time while producing heat I suppose. Just wanna know if it's as safe as underclocking a CPU.

Well then you have to undervolt as well as the power consumption has to be decreased in order to achieve lower temperatures.

I don't really want to do the whole process of finding a stable undervolting all over again, but I found reducing the clock speed is doing good at decreasing temp while also easily reconfigurated without causing instability. As long as I know it's safe to underclock the GPU I think I'll be fine with it. Thank you for your answer.

Well then yes, it is safe or at least much safer that overclock.
