Acer E5-573G-54AZ toggle power/battery mode

Hi,

I have an Acer E5-573G-54AZ and when I start any game the laptop starts toggle power / battery mode every few seconds and then the battery is draining. I clean my laptop regularly from dust and after cleaning it does not happen for a week or two and then it starts happening again even though there is no dust in the cooling system.

I tried to find the answer on the internet but the only thing I found was that there was a possibility that the game was looking for more power than the charger could give, so I bought a stronger 95W charger, but the problem didn't resolve.

I have to mention that the laptop is 5 years old and that started happening back in a year. Battery capacity is 74%. I don't think it's a problem to connectors because everything works normally until the game is on.

Has anyone had a similar problem?

BEFORE starting any heavy gaming loads, the battery must be near 100% charged and charger plugged in to extend playing times. However, even a 95watt charger can't keep up with the load of both charging a low battery and supplying power to the CPU/GPU at the same time. While the battery capacity might be 74%, an older battery usually loses its ability to deliver this charge capacity (ampere-hours) fast enough (eg. amperes needed) under high load and results in power throttling.
